Lifting weights and spirits with Alex Marks

Published on: 6th April, 2022

“People don’t tend to lack motivation, it’s more about accountability.”

Personal trainer and star of The Bachelor, Alex Marks, is no stranger to a health conscious lifestyle. Alex is the owner and head coach of On Your Marks fitness, running online motivational and coaching courses and a fitness studio in Clapham, and his goal-oriented approach to cutting out the booze from his life in 2020 has changed his life.

From adjusting the narrative around the realities of fitness for the longevity in conjunction with the here and now, to phasing out alcohol after his stint on reality TV, Alex’s story about flipping his mindset when it comes to booze and feeling the positive mental and physical benefits is both inspirational and motivational.

In this podcast, Alex shares lessons he’s learned about overcoming pre-existing negative experiences with fitness, helping new mums get fit safely and appropriately, how he went from a skinny kid being picked on in the school playground to a highly successful personal trainer, and what life was like on hit reality TV show The Bachelor.
